Quick answer
Can I change the size of my model?
Yes, on a model marked Any size: type the width, height and thickness on Setup. Filafy never resizes a model file, so it prints at its own size.
The detail
The Setup step shows your model with every setting in one column beside it. The column is the same for every model: Model, Size, Images, More options and Continue to Design. More options shows only when you own more than one filament material, or when your model has its own paint. Press Guides above the model to show a grid on the painted face.
- Model. The model you chose. Press Change to go back to the Model step, and your images stay. On your own upload, Keep in My models is here.
- Size. On a model marked Any size, type the width, the height and the thickness. The size can be 5–1000 mm per side, and never bigger than your printer’s bed. A model file keeps its own size, and Size shows it as one line. On a rectangle, Round corners softens the corners, and on a star, Round points softens the points.
- Images. Drop your images on Add your images, or click it to choose them. One face takes up to 10, and a Free form takes one. Click an image’s name to rename it. The model on Setup does not show your images. You place and adjust them on the next step, Design.
More options. If you own more than one material, choose one with Filament material. Best match, the default, picks the material that fits your image best. A warning shows under the column when the model may not fit your printer.
Press Continue to Design when your images are in. The first time, Filafy asks for your printer and your filaments. See Pick your printer.
